Different generations have different tastes and preferences. In fact, I can find a lot of differences between my generation and my parents' generation in daily life.
Firstly, I think one of the biggest differences is the family size. Resulting from China’s family planning policy which was put forward in 1980s, nearly all the people of my generation do not have sisters and brothers. Meanwhile, people of my parents' generation always have two or more brothers and sisters.
Then, because of that, it is obvious that our characteristics will become quite different in some aspects. Each time when my mother recalls her childhood, she will always talk about the unforgettable memory that she live and play with her brothers and sisters. Of course, they had many quarrels, but they would always find solutions to deal with these situations. In this process, they know what are understanding and tolerance, and learn how to get along with others. Compared to them, the situation of my generation is quite different. Because almost all of us are the only child in each family, our parents always give us whatever we want. As a result, we always only think of ourselves and do not know that we should be considerate of others. This weakness in characteristics of my generation will make us into trouble when we get along with others in the future, especially with a person who is also the only child in his or her family.
To conclude, my parents' generation has a lot differences with my generation. I think we should learn the good qualities from our parents and learn how to get along with others.

I am for you opinion. Our parents all have sisters and brothers, so they know better how to get on well with others than us. Compared with them, I think we should make more friends as well as take part in some activities to train ourselves on this ability.:)

ReplyDeleteI want to have an older brother. In our generation, we need learn how to get along with peers. We also need learn a lot from our parents!
