blog3-Ms Ivy Chan-Zhou Shaowen-"A Perfect World"

For me, the world would be a better place if there was less pollution. Nowadays, pollution has become a serious problem in many areas of the world. First of all, take air pollution as an example. Every year, a large amount of toxic gas is released into the air, and it has caused a lot of respiratory diseases. Moreover, the released acid gas has led to acid rain in many regions of the world. In some areas, where there is frequent acid rain, trees and grasses are getting withered, buildings and sculptures are continuously being ruined as well. Secondly, nuclear pollution is increasingly serious. It is well known that a nuclear power station in Japan was broken by the earthquake and it has caused a great amount of nuclear pollution. One of the unique characteristics of nuclear pollution is that nuclear ray cannot be felt.  To make things worse, the ray can cause severe effects. After ten or twenty years, a large number of the people who are in nuclear pollution areas may obtain cancer without any observation. To conclude, if there was less pollution, there would be less strange diseases, and people would enjoy a healthier life. Subsequently, the world would be a better place for us to live.

  1. Hi Shaowen,

Good that you broke up pollution into 2 categories. You also tried to elaborate them. It would be even better if you could give specific examples.
