Blog4-Ms Lim-Zheng Siyuan-Generation differences

One of the differences between my generation and my parents’ generation is that we have different attitudes towards money. The people of my parents’ generation were born in 1950s and 1960s. This period was quite tough; China was suffering the economic depression then. So they led a poor life in the childhood more or less. Because of this, people of my parents’ generation prefer to save money in the bank to get interests rather than spend it to enjoy life. While people of my generation were born in 1980s and 1990s. Most of do not have brothers or sisters. Parents spend their money on us. So, we have the habit to spend money to buy what we like rather than to put it in to the bank.

  1. It is rather concise, I think. O(∩_∩)O~But it would be better if you have checked your grammar more carefully.(eg, Most of do not have brothers or sisters.)
