The world will be a better place if people have more sympathy in the society. It was known to all of Chinese that the case of Pengyu in 2006 had left a deep impression on Chinese citizens and had changed the basic values of some people’s recognition. The case was about a mans called Pengyu was enthusiastic that he volunteered to send an old people who fell down when getting off the bus to the hospital, but when his son came to the hospital, the old people insisted that it was Pengyu pushing him at his back that caused his falling down and they wanted Pengyu to afford his expense in the hospital and the money for recuperation. Finally, they charged Pengyu to the court and the result was that Pengyu had to give about ¥50000 to the old people. This case made people doubt whether it was right or not to show our enthusiasms and sympathies to others who needed help. A few days ago in Hubei province, China, an old man was knocked down by a car and he was badly hurt and lay down on the street. The driver ran away and no one of the passerby stopped and sent the old man to hospital in spite of blood on the ground. Unfortunately, this old man did not survive after the police sent him to the hospital. Hearing this thing, I felt so sad and scared about what people had done. If that man were our own father or ourselves, how would us feel about it? Should we scolded the passerby loudly or we just blamed ourselves for not giving a hand when others in need? We should not hide our consciences just to avoid being caught in trouble. We do not just have cases like this and we have many heroes such as Lei Feng and Li Guilin. They spared no time to help others, sacrificing their own benefits. Their sympathies leaded the society becoming better and better. Let us fellow these heroes and learn lessons from these victim, sharing our love and sympathies. Only if everyone in the society has more sympathy, can the world become a better place.
