Fengshui(风水) has played an important
part in Chinese culture in the old days. It was usually used to find the
location of cites, palace or cemeteries. Most people in old China believed in
Fengshui and Fengshui is becoming a worldwide fad in recent years. People,
especially the business people, believe that Fengshui can help them to find successes.
From my point of view, we cannot take Fengshui as a subject like Physics but an
opinion like philosophy. I respect Fengshui very much but I do not believe
Fengshui totally, however, it actually affects people in many ways.
Fengshui
affects people’s life mostly by mental indication. A good location will make
people feel better in their heart than others and you will feel yourself luckier
than others. So this confidence will contribute to your career success. In
turn, some people complain about not caring the Fengshui when they fail in their
career.
There
are some people who believe that Fengshui is the environmental opinion of
Chinese. And actually, to some degree, the structure or the location followed
the Fengshui does improve people’s career and be good for the health. Nearing a
river or letting more sunlight in will make people comfortable.
In
a word, I do not think Fengshui is the bad thing. If you do not believe it,
please do not refuse it.
