Blood type and personality

   Nowadays, many young people convince that blood type has a mysterious connection with personality. It is said that people of the same blood type share certain types of personalities:

 Type A individuals are conservative and organized. They tend to maintain the status quo, but they seldom trust others. On the contrary, type B individuals have free spirits. They like to break rules and do without thinking about consequences. They are independent and have a broad interest. While type AB is more like a combination of type A and type B. People of this blood type have fantastic and free ideas like type B, but they tend to behave moderate like type A and want to have a peaceful and steady life. Last but not the least, type O individuals have noticeable self-assertion and self-expression, and which make them competitive and alert to surroundings.

Moreover, this theory has been widely used in accessing jobs, self-estimate, fashion, and even developing relationships. To my point of view, blood type theory provides a good way to know people, but we cannot use it to define a person.

The blood type theory has its own scientific foundation that blood consists of hormones and the brain has a molecular clock, blood circulates through cells and controls the molecular clock, so the blood type controls one’s health and destiny. Thus, it is possible to extrapolate one’s personality by analyze one’s blood type. For this reason, people can use the blood type theory to approach a person or to know a person better. But I do not think the blood type theory can totally extrapolate one’s personality, for there are 60 billion people in this world and they cannot be simply classified in just four catalogs. Everyone is unique, and everyone has its own combination of different personalities. People of the same blood type may share certain personalities but they are not totally the same. There are always some personalities and characteristics lying in one’s heart and only when others getting to know him or her can they be discovered. Human’s personality is much more complex and complicated than four types of blood. Therefore, we cannot define a people only by using the blood theory.

The blood type theory can only assist us to know people better but cannot be the reason to define a person. To know a person not only need the blood type, but also time and patient.
