  For me, the world would be a better place if there is no gender discrimination. Although we are in a modern society, there is still gender discrimination in our life. For instance,it is very hard for a female civil engineer to find a job, because people always think that female cannot endure hardships and are not capable of the hard work in building sites, so they do not want to employ female civil engineers. But I do not agree with the people who think so, many female are very tough, and they have no problems working in hard places or doing difficult work. Moreover, there are many couples who give birth to several children just in order to have a son, and they think only sons can transfer the family's blood, so they pay more attention on boys than girls. But I think this is a traditional thinking, we should not believe it anymore. In the modern world, everyone should be treaded equally. Maybe female are less strong in physical power than male, but it does not mean female belong to the weak group; female are also strong in heart and they are as clever as male. In fact, there are even some female who can do better than male, such as Hilary, Madam Curie, Wu Zetian and so on. Gender discrimination brings unfairness to our society, so I think the world would be better if there is no gender discrimination.
