We always send chocolate to our lovers on Valentine's Day, so today I want to talk about the origin of Dove, a famous chocolate. It is a sad love story. In 1915, a famous princess in Luxembourg royal would get married, so the cooks got very busy to prepare food, and there was a cook assistant called Lion; his hands had many wounds because of doing too much work. One day, Lion was washing the wounds with salt water, then a girl came to him and asked him''Are you painful?". Lion felt verry happy because there was no one cared about him before. In fact, this girl was a princess called Bazar, a distance relative of the king, so her position was verry low. She even had no chance to eat ice cream which was a kind of rare and delicious food in that age. After that day, Lion sneaked into the kitchen to make ice cream for Bazar every night. Gradually, they fell in love with each other, but in that age, they did not dare to express their love. So they just kept the love in their mind. Time went so fast. In 20th century, Luxembourg made an agreement with Belgium, and then uniting by marriage was the best way to unite the two countries. Unfortunately, Bazar was chosen to marry with a prince in Belgium. She was so sad that she refused to eat to protest against the marriage, but it was no use. Lion was very worried, and he wanted to know whether Bazar loved him or not. So he came up with an idea. He used hot chocolate to write Dove on the ice cream, and Dove meaned "do you love me?". But Bazar did not pay attention to the ice cream, and the hot chocolate melted in a few minutes. So Bazar did not know Lion's thinking. Lion was very sad. A few days later Bazar went to Belgium, and Lion left Luxembourg for America, then Lion got married too, but Lion still loved Bazar very much. One day in 1946, Lion received a letter written by his friend who also worked in Luxembourg. In the letter, he said that Bazar asked about him continuously, but because of the second world war, Lion received this letter one year later. Then Lion overcame all the challenges to come to Belgium to visit Bazar. When they talk about the old things, Lion knew that Bazar loved him very much, but the hot chocolate melted so quickly that Bazar did not see the Dove. But it was too late for Lion to know this, Lion thought that if the chocolate was solid, the chocolate would not melt, then if the chocolate did not melt, Bazar would know his mind, and he would not lose Bazar. So Lion decided to invent a kind of solid chocolate which can keep for a long time. After researching for a long time, Lion finally invented it, and he inscribed Dove on every piece of the chocolate. Lion used this chocolate to commemorate the sad and beautiful love between him and Bazar. So when someone send Dove chocolate to you, they do not only send you a piece of chocolate, but also ask you the question "Do yu love me?".
