Blog2-Ms Pamela-Hu Yiyao(Scarlett)-Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus

Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus

Recently, I read a book about different opinions between men and women, which is interesting and meaningful. I think knowing some of the different opinions is helpful in our daily life. So, today, I would like to share some differences with you.

First, how can a girl ask for support or help in a correct way? When a man hears a demanding tone, no matter how nicely you phrase your requests, all he hears is that you are complaining that he is not giving enough. Then his tendency is not to give you more. Instead of that, he will give less until you appreciate what he is already given. So, when asking a man for support, assume that he does not have to be convinced.

Second, for boys, I would like to share with you about the language contents and emotions. Men and women seldom mean the same things even when they use the same words. For example, when a woman says "I fell like you never listen.", she does not expect the words never be taken literally. Using the word never is just a way of expressing the frustration she is telling at the moment. So, not only do men and women communicate differently, but they think, feel, perceive, react, love, need and appreciate differently. They almost seem to be from different planets.

I hope this expanded understanding of our differences can help you avoid misunderstanding and resolve much of the frustration in dealing with the different sex. So, next time when you have trouble with your opposite sexual partner, or even classmates, please remember that your partner is as different from you as someone from another planet. Then you can relax and cooperate with the differences instead of resisting or trying to change them.

  1. A very interesting topic! Actually, we are all from the earth. Haha. You have helped us know that men and women should understand each other better.
And I think the sentence "Using the word never is ..." should be changed to "Using the word is never...".
