Blog2-"Ms Ivy Chan"-"Zhou Shaowen"-"Thoughts about The Blind Side"

This weekend, I watched a movie named The Blind Side. The plot is not complex, but it is full filled with love.
The movie is based on the true story of Michael Jerome Oher, who is a football star in National Football League. Oher is a black. He suffered a lot in his childhood. Not only had his parents divorced, but he became homeless as well. He experienced the pain of losing love from parents even when he was only a child. Fortunately, he was adopted by an orphanage. After a few months, Tuohys came to the orphanage to adopt a child. Mrs Tuohy finally chose Oher for his polite manner and strong body. However, he was nearly lost himself when he first lived in the new home. New neighbours, new school, new classmates, and also new English accent: almost everything is new for him. He could not adapt to these in a short time. To make things worse, he was often treated coldly by his classmates. Even at home, he was discriminated by Tuohy’s daughter. But Mrs Tuohy helped him like a mother. She encouraged him every time when he felt depressed. When she perceived that the daughter was not friendly with him, she persuaded her daughter to be kind to him. With the love from Mrs Tuohy, Oher eventually overcame all the obstacles, and made great progress in football. In the end, he succeeded to be a football star.
In my opinion, Oher's success is to great extent due to Mrs Tuohy's love. Without her love, Oher would not overcome all the problems and would be left at the bottom of the society. Love can create miracles. If every one gives some love to others, there will be a wonderful world.
