How important are personality and values to us?
In my opinion, they are the
determined element of our soul. During our life, the most important thing is
not about how much money we earn or how famous we are, but how well we have
developed our personality and values. Just as once I mentioned in a letter to
my younger brother, though as a student, the primary task is not to get high
scores in examinations, but to develop a mature personality and values. It is a
lesson that everyone should take: before we can be talents we should make sure
we can be the virtuous.
Good personality and values
always bring us surprises. Just like the sun whose lights can spread to every
corner, they benefit us on every aspect, from how to study well to how to get others’
preference. They make us more comprehensive, which means why we get other’s preference
is not because of a certain kind of skill but those determined characteristics.
Personality is how we see ourselves while values are how we see the world. However,
both of them are relevant factors on influencing others’ impressions on us.
In fact, it is almost
impossible that a person with fairly a matured personality and values cannot
make a difference.
