Blog3-Mrs Pamela-Song Zhuokun (Kevin)-A Perfect World

A Perfect World
For me, the world would be a better place if there were no more poverty. In today's world, there are more than one billion people living in extremely poor conditions. We can see some children who live in North Korea or Africa are "big head babies" whose bodies are mere bags of bones. Moreover, as far as I am concerned, many Haitians even do not have enough food to eat. Every day, what they can "enjoy" is only a kind of cakes which are made from MUD. After a long time of crying, beside a pot that is filled with boiling water and small stones (the way mothers deceive children that the food is being cooked in the pot to help children sleep), hungry children fall  asleep with beautiful dreams. We cannot imagine if such poverty one day would happen to us. Rich or poor, every life has equal value. Therefore, rich people and governments should take ownership to help the poor live better. One piece of clothes, or even one piece of cake could be vital to the poor. If all rich people could donate certain amount of their money as well as all governments put out more functioning policies, I believe there would be no poverty in the world anymore. All in all, the world would be better if the poor could lead a good life.

  1. I am deeply struck by the cruel fact of poverty you have described. I could never imagine children living on MUD cakes and mothers COOKing stones. I totally agree that to make a better world, we need to fight harder against poverty, and everyone of us should take the responsibility.

  2. I like this sentence very much " Rich or poor, every life has equal value." Besides governments, individuals should also take some action to change this situation
But I also think that poverty will never disappear because possession will never be tatolly equal. That is to say that if rich exits, poverty will exist too. If there is no poverty, then there will no rich.

    2. Thank you for your concepts. I think if the poor can all lead a good life, the world would be better. What's more, if the gap between the rich and the poor could be smaller, the world world be more pretty.:)
