Blog2-"Mr.Seto"-"Dong Fangzhou"-"Unforgettable Experiences"

It is so amazing that I have been in Singapore for two months already! There have been so many unforgettable experiences since I first arrived in this fantastic country. However, the befrienders from VCF inevitably created the most exciting part. With the help of all the befrienders, I managed to get familiar with the amenities around my hostel, which ensured that my life in the utterly new environment going through smoothly. They also brought us to NUS and introduced to us all the faculties and schools in the Kent Ridge campus. If it were not for their generous help, I would never have been accustomed to the new school so quickly. Then, a week after we sm3 students started the bridging course, we excitedly saw the befrienders again in the orientation camp. This time we played all kinds of games together, one of which is the kite flying competition! I could never forget that moment when our group's kite got the first place in the game! (We got a $20 voucher for the Swensens Restaurant as a prize:)) Furthermore, a "bridge" between the befrienders and Chinese students has been built throughout all these activities! I am longing for meeting them again in the English Speaking Corner that will be held later on!

  1. I have the same feelings.
We cannot get accustomed to the new campus and the new country so soon without them.
It is really unforgettable because of the friendship we have gained.

  2. It is such a coincidence that we wrote the blogs which have the same topic about berienders. (^_^) Just one point: "If it were not for their generous help, I would never have been accustomed to the new school so quickly." I think that in this sentence, the word "never" looks too absolute. You do have the possibility to be adapted to the life in Singapore without the help of befrienders. Of course, I am not saying that berienders are not helpful. On the contrary, I do feel very grateful for their kindness.

    1. Correct! Maybe I should change the word into "hardly". Thank you for your correcting! By the way, t's such a pity that you missed our first English Speaking Corner(ESC), but you attended another activity that was no doubt very precious as well.:)
Hope that you will attend the next ESC held in this month!
